FAQs

What airport should I fly into?

You can fly into NYC airport (2.5hrs to Fleischmanns) or Albany airport (1.5hrs to Fleischmanns).

Will I need a car?

Not for the wedding day / events! We'll have transportation to get guests where they need to be on Saturday 8/29. That said, the Catskills are rural and spread out, so we recommend having at least one car per group if you plan to explore. Uber and Lyft service is very limited.

What should I wear?

Our welcome event is eclectic cocktail and our ceremony/reception is formal.
Check out the attire page on our website for more details and inspiration.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

The ceremony will be in a church, but the reception takes place outdoors at an old mansion and in a forest clearing nearby. We recommend block heels, wedges, boots, loafers, or other shoes that can handle grass, wood chips, gravel, and uneven ground.

What will the weather be like?

It looks like the weather will be warm during the day (70s) and cooler in the evening (low 60s).
We recommend bringing a light jacket, sweater, or wrap for after sunset.

Is transportation provided?

Yes! And we strongly encourage guests to use the wedding shuttles because Ubers are non-existent up here in the mountains. Two buses will run from accommodations → ceremony → reception → accommodations throughout the evening.
Exact pickup locations and schedules can be found on the "shuttles" page of our website.

When will the buses be running until?

Shuttles will run throughout the evening and after the reception ends so everyone can get home safely. They will depart the reception at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm.

Once the after party moves inside the mansion, the shuttles will run late night at 12am and 1am.

Do you have a registry?

We don’t have a traditional registry. For those who wish to give a gift, we’d be grateful for a contribution toward our future together. Cards, cash, or checks can be left in a designated spot at the reception or mailed to our home.

Can I drive myself?

Yes, there will be parking available at the reception venue. That said, if you plan to enjoy the open bar, we encourage you to take advantage of the shuttle service.

Will there be cell service?

Cell service can be very spotty in parts of the Catskills. We recommend downloading maps ahead of time and taking screenshots of important information such as addresses, shuttle schedules, and weekend itineraries. Once you get to the reception, The Spillian will have wifi available.

Can I bring a plus one?

Plus ones are noted on your invitation and are not blanket administered. If you're unsure whether a guest was included, please reach out and we'll be happy to clarify.

What time should I arrive?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.
If you are taking the shuttle, please arrive at your pickup location a few minutes early from the noted departure time. If driving yourself, we recommend arriving at the church by 3:45 PM.

Are there bathrooms at all locations?
The ceremony is taking place at a one-room church with no running bathrooms - so please go to the restroom before getting there. Restroom facilities will be available throughout the reception.

What should I do while I'm in the Catskills?
We've put together a list of our favorite local restaurants, hikes, shops, swimming holes, and weekend activities. Check out the "Things to Do" section of the website for recommendations.

What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please include any dietary restrictions when you RSVP, and we'll do our best to accommodate them.
